Sodium polyacrylate, also known as a water lock, is a sodium salt of polyacrylic acid. It has the ability to absorb as much as 200 to 300 times its mass in water.

It can be mainly divided into three major categories which are Hygiene grade, Agriculture grade, and Industry grade. The main uses of SAP are absorbing, retaining, or blocking liquid.


Applications and Main Model

For Diaper

Sodium polyacrylate is a commonly used surfactant, which is widely used in diapers. It provides water repellency, moisture retention, anti-blocking and stain resistance, and protects the surface of diapers.

  • Sodium polyacrylate can also enhance the elasticity of diapers, improve wetness, increase absorption speed, and reduce the stickiness of diapers.
  • It also has the functions of reducing surface tension, antibacterial, anti-oxidation, etc., which help to protect the skin and improve the performance of diapers.
  • Sodium polyacrylate also helps diapers absorb stains better, reduces the chance of stain residue, and helps keep diapers moist for better skin protection.
